Mar Silver Jewelry now offers an expanded line of Taxco sterling silver in the Texas Hill Country town of Fredericksburg. The new location, located at 215 East Main Street in the heart of the Historic District, is run by Marcos Mar.
History
Francisco Mar has been working with artisans in Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico for over twenty years to provide a market for handcrafted Mexican silver jewelry and to ensure the quality and reliability of the silver jewelry he offers. In 1985 he began Mar Imports Wholesale Jewelry in San Antonio, Texas. In 2002 he opened a retail store in downtown San Antonio and in November of 2007, expanded with a second retail store in Fredericksburg, Texas. The .925 stamp on your jewelry certifies that the item is Sterling Silver, containing 92.5 percent silver and 7.5 percent other metals, used to improve the durability of your jewelry. In addition we carry a small number of Italian Sterling Silver items.
